SS1092 Security Systems Engineer - City of London/West End Originally formed in 1988, our client are a specialist security and electronic service provider with expertise in the following key areas, CCTV, access control, audio and video entry systems, gates and barriers, intruder alarms, PA systems and IT software and support. They are now looking for a Security Engineer to install and service the following equipment candidates must be fully Qualified / Trained for the following areas;

Access Control: Our client install and service the following systems; I-AX, RBH, Keri, Northern WINPAC, PAC International, Paxton and Plan. All of their systems are fully databased systems and engineers must be experienced in systems that have 30 doors and above. PC and software experience is absolutely essential.

CCTV: They install and maintain Digital recording equipment, many of which are PC based including the provision software product and prior knowledge of the Geovision system would be an advantage. They also install and maintain many remote view buildings and knowledge of routers, networks and general IT skills would also be an advantage to the successful candidate.

Video Intercom Systems: They install Raytel Systems, BPT, and Videx video intercoms and a basic knowledge of these types of systems would also be a requirement.

Automatic Doors and Barriers. Our clients also install and maintain DDA approved automatic door controllers and a working knowledge of these operators would also be an advantage. They supply and install car park barriers such as FAAC and RIB.

Intruder: Although our client is not structurally set up as an alarm company, they do provide this service to some of their clients and again a working knowledge of Intruder systems would be required.

Initial starting salary of £28K plus 5 weeks annual holiday. After training a company van, laptop and mobile phone will be supplied and inclusion to private health insurance. Engineers all wear uniforms which are also provided.

Their working areas are mainly The City and West End of London and the working times are 0900-1700. Weekend call out will be one weekend in four. Special call out rates will apply. Ideally candidates will live close to or within the M25 area.

This role requires candidates to have a strong technical knowledge of a variety of equipment, reasonable PC skills are required to book jobs, process orders and send jobs for invoicing. They secured NACOSS approval in 1997 and achieved NSI NACOSS gold accreditation in 2004. In addition, our client has achieved ISO 9001:2000 accreditation. They have a strong reputation in the region they operate in. Our clients are seeking an experienced security systems engineer with a minimum 3 years experience of working to NSI Codes of Practice on a range of intruder, CCTV and access control systems. Knowledge/experience of fire detection systems would be advantageous but not essential. Our clients business is split 50% commercial and 50% domestic with the commercial projects mainly being in the £5k to £20k region. They have an extremely experienced staff who are able to offer a high level of support. Candidates will ideally live within the companys operating area. The position carries an annual salary in the region of £23k-£27k for a 42.5 hour week with 21 days holiday. Anticipated hours are 8.30am to 5pm with ½ hour lunch. Their business is split 50% commercial and 50% domestic with the commercial projects mainly being in the £5k to £20k region. Our client are an independent NSI NACOSS Gold Accredited Company established over fifteen years ago. Due to continued growth and expansion of the company, they require a Pro Active and committed sales professional to assist the company in becoming the North West region’s leading fire & electronic security systems provider. The company has based its reputation on the high standards expected by the Managing Director from the initial customer enquiry through to after sales care offered. The client is relaunching its website as well as strengthening its telesales operation in the next couple of weeks. They are looking for a candidate who has a strong fire knowledge or IP CCTV or in a perfect world both.. The company operate in the North West mainly, with Greater Manchester, Lancashire and the M62 Corridor being their busiest areas.

Objective

To visit Local Authorities, Building & Electrical Contractors, Architects & Surveyors, Retail & Leisure sectors, generating new business for both fire & security systems whilst marketing and promoting new products. Developing and implementing sales strategies with the Sales & Marketing Team to ensure sales, profit and margin targets are achieved.

Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking a high calibre, customer focused service engineer with good team work and people skills to work within a friendly environment. Enquiries are welcome from candidates with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience of servicing intruder alarm systems. Whilst the role predominantly involves servicing intruder systems, candidates will also be expected to undertake servicing of CCTV and access control systems to a lesser extent and should have relevant experience and be proficient in servicing within these disciplines. Candidates are expected to have experience of working to NSI Gold codes of practice. Our clients’ preferred systems are Galaxy and Scantronic and candidates will not only have experience of these systems but also be expected to have knowledge of a range of other products within the required disciplines. However, product training will be available to the successful candidate. The role will involve servicing commercial (retail, office, factory) premises and some domestic premises within a 40 mile radius of Leicester. Our client is a Bedfordshire based family run security company that has installed and maintained security systems in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire area since 1977. They offer a wide variety of systems including access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarm systems, barriers/gates and refuge systems. They are currently looking to appoint a hard working Lead Engineer. The purpose of the role is to be an on-site supervisor working hands on (on the tools they are not looking for a Project Manager) alongside between 2-4 Engineers and the day to day liaison with the client. The sites are all in the south of England. Candidates will reside in the area north of London and south of Milton Keynes i.e. mainly Herts, Beds and Bucks, have a strong general knowledge of access control, fire, CCTV and intruder systems (this is because the systems are specified in some cases by outside staff and there is no standard manufacturers kit used), have a proactive approach to their work, be keen to take on responsibility and will have undertaken a similar role on several large installations. Our client is an established independent family run Fire Detection and Security organisation offering nationwide coverage with its head office based in the South London/Surrey borders. They are currently looking to recruit an industry experienced sales person for their security division. Based at their metropolitan Surrey office (SM postcode) they are looking for an individual to cover the south/south east of England, although the company does have a Birmingham office allowing the successful candidate to sell as far north as the West Midlands. They are looking for the incumbent to sell into the whole commercial market (the company have both private and public sector customers including local authorities, banks, hotel groups, manufacture ring companies etc). They sell systems from small access control systems through to integrated systems of up to £500k. The annual sales target for this role will be between £500k-£600k. With a focus on customer care and engineering excellence, they have seen rapid growth over recent years. Their list of achievements includes NSI Gold accreditation for intruder, CCTV, Access control and Fire systems, BAFE accreditation for Fire as well as ISO 9001:2002 Quality Assurance accreditation. Our client is now seeking a high calibre, customer focused engineer with experience of installation, commissioning and handover of security and fire systems to NSI Gold standards. The successful candidate will be installing systems on a variety of commercial and public sector sites to include warehouses, hospitals, schools, universities and airports across London and the Home Counties. Candidates are expected to have considerable experience within at least 3 of the 4 following disciplines - intruder systems, CCTV systems, Access control systems and Fire detection/alarm systems. Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a high calibre, customer focused installation engineer with a minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship experience. Candidates are expected to have experience of working to at least NSI Silver codes of practice and have significant experience of installing intruder, CCTV and Access Control systems as well as integration of these disciplines. The role will include a degree of servicing and the successful candidate will be expected to have some experience within a servicing role. Knowledge of Fire systems would be advantageous although not essential as our client will provide appropriate training. Candidates should have an extensive product knowledge across the required disciplines and experience with Texecom intruder systems and PAC/Paxton access systems would be beneficial. However, the candidate will benefit from on-going training in the latest products and applications. Our client is a leading electronic security solutions provider in South Yorkshire offering consultancy, installation and maintenance services to commercial clients across the region. An NSI Silver accredited installer and recipient of an Investor in People award, they are implementing a strategic growth plan with the intention of targeting the North West region where they currently have no representation. They seek a dynamic, high calibre, industry professional with direct sales experience within the security systems sector in order to raise their profile within the new region and promote, design and sell a range of services to include Intruder, CCTV, Access control and integrated systems, gates, turnstiles, barriers, fencing and maintenance services to commercial/industrial end users. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated, ambitious and target driven sales executive with a minimum of 3-5 years experience of business to business sales within the above disciplines. Whilst our client is not currently active in the Fire market, a knowledge of fire systems/products would be useful for possible future expansion into this market. The candidate is expected have a thorough knowledge of the sales cycle from lead generation and consultation, through to quotation/tendering and closure and have a record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets within the security systems sector. A solid product knowledge across the above disciplines is required although our client will provide some product training, as required. The position carries a basic salary of £20k - £25k depending on experience plus commission. OTE are anticipated to be in the region of £42,000 although commission is uncapped. SS1063 Fire Systems Designer/Sales Surveyor - Portsmouth

Established in 1967, our client is a family run, leading independent security company with a reputation for quality, service and innovation. They supply, install and maintain intruder, fire, access control and CCTV systems to the commercial and domestic markets. Located in Hampshire, they cover the majority of the Southern England. As a part of their commitment to quality, they have achieved NSI Gold approval and NSI BAFE SP203 accreditation for fire systems as well as an Investor in People award. Our client is seeking an experienced, self motivated Fire systems designer/sales surveyor conversant with current industry standards to become part of a team servicing existing clients and generating new business within a designated region. Previous sales experience would therefore be advantageous. Candidates will ideally live within 50 miles of Portsmouth. Reporting to the Sales and Design Team Leader, the successful candidate will be required to meet the following brief:

1. To promote sales of Company products and services by advising customers and potential customers.

2. Attend customer premises by request to carry out surveys for fire systems. This applies to new work and extensions to existing systems when required.

3. Follow up survey action to formulate Designs to the current standards which are used to compile proposals, contracts and costings for installation and servicing agreements.

4. Comply with Health & Safety legislation and Company rules to ensure own Health & Safety and advise in this respect for proposed site work, involving other Company personnel.

5. To achieve consistent Sales figures on a rolling 3 month basis.

6. To achieve an Annual Sales target.

7. Where practicable, implement follow up action by attending site during installation, in order to promote Customer Care.

8. Negotiate costings with customers, where appropriate.

9. Liaison with the Sales Manager for new product familiarisation.

10. Resolve any System Design issues with clients or Engineers highlighted during the installation.

The position carries a basic salary of £24k plus commission with a quarterly bonus structure applicable after completion of a probationary period, giving an OTE £34k. A company vehicle and mobile phone are provided. Anticipated hours are 08.30-17.30 although some flexibility is required given the nature of the position.
