SS1085 Service Engineer - Leicester Established for almost 30 years, our client is an NSI Gold approved and ISO 9000 accredited security systems installer providing security services to clients throughout Leicestershire and the surrounding areas. With a commitment to quality and continual improvement, our client offers a range of systems from simple physical security to fully integrated electronic security systems across a broad spectrum of customers ranging from domestic to large multi-national clients. Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking a high calibre, customer focused service engineer with good team work and people skills to work within a friendly environment. Enquiries are welcome from candidates with a minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience of servicing intruder alarm systems. Whilst the role predominantly involves servicing intruder systems, candidates will also be expected to undertake servicing of CCTV and access control systems to a lesser extent and should have relevant experience and be proficient in servicing within these disciplines. Candidates are expected to have experience of working to NSI Gold codes of practice. They are a privately owned family business and employ around eighty staff. They have realistic plans to grow the company further over the next twelve months through a mixture of organic growth and acquisition (the current turnover is circa £5m). To help facilitate this growth our client is currently looking to appoint an Operations Manager (with a sales bias) to join the company‘s senior management team. The purpose of the role is to remove some of the duties presently undertaken by the Managing Director in order to free him up to concentrate on activities relating to their growth plans. The Operations Manager role will involve the management of the Installation team, the sales team and the shop staff. The installation team comprises of two Managers, an Administrator and twelve installation technicians and much of the day to day running of this department will be overseen by the two Managers. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the performance of the department and auditing their results on a monthly basis and will consume a relatively small proportion of the working month. The management of the shop staff will also take up a relatively small amount of time. The bulk of the Operations Manager’s working week will be spent on the management of the sales team. They offer a wide variety of systems including access control, intruder alarms, CCTV, fire alarm systems, barriers/gates and refuge systems. They are currently looking to appoint a hard working Lead Engineer. The purpose of the role is to be an on-site supervisor working hands on (on the tools they are not looking for a Project Manager) alongside between 2-4 Engineers and the day to day liaison with the client. The sites are all in the south of England. Our client is seeking an experienced, self motivated Fire systems designer/sales surveyor conversant with current industry standards to become part of a team servicing existing clients and generating new business within a designated region.
